Science Teacher • Dad of 5 • Follower of Christ
I grew up believing in God, but I didn’t really understand the Bible or what it meant to follow Jesus. Church was a regular part of my childhood, but it often felt more like a routine than something personal. I had questions about how faith and science fit together, and for a long time I wasn’t sure how it all connected.
In high school, I had a biology teacher who deeply inspired me, and that experience led me to major in biology in college. As I entered that new season—surrounded by classmates chasing after everything the world had to offer—God finally had my attention. I became a follower of Christ and became passionate about living for the glory of God. While studying biology at a secular university, I was also diving into Scripture, attending three to four Bible studies a week, and growing quickly in my faith.
By the end of my first year, I sensed God calling me into education—not just to teach science, but to be a light in the classroom and help students come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Along the way, I became convinced that science and faith, when properly understood, are not in conflict but actually point to the same truth—God’s design and glory in creation. That calling has shaped my life ever since.
For the past 18 years, I’ve taught high school science in the public school system while also serving in youth ministry. I married my high school sweetheart, Jessica, and together we’re raising five amazing kids: Elijah, Noah, Josiah, Ezekiel, and CallieAnna. I also serve as an elder and worship leader at our local fellowship, Calvary Chapel.
Whether you're here for help with homeschooling or just want your child to fall in love with learning, I’m so glad you’re here.
